Okay, so I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken. (Yeah I know, unamerican) But they are pretty good. My boyfriend loves this place. He's obsessed with their gizzards. They are not my thing, but he loves them. I do really like the chicken tenders, and the mashed potatoes and gravy are pretty good.

A few yrs back I brought the wife to visit family. When I suggested a gizzard pack the impression I got on her face was none to kind. But now no visit to the city goes without at least two trips to Go Chicken Go !

Best chicken in town. You can't go wrong with an order of gizzards and G sauce. If you're sick the mashed potatoes are the perfect comfort food.

Although I LOVE the other Go-Chicken's on 7th Street and on Shawnee Drive, I have always found this one very lacking, which is sad because this one is closer to my home. The gizzards and livers have a strange and 'gritty' taste. I suspect they use cornmeal in the breading and possibly fry them in canola oil. Also the staff are less than friendly and courteous here, much unlike the other locations in KCK.

Been going here for years to get gizzards and livers. Just recently realized they have a really good chicken breast sandwich. Sometimes you have to wait if they don't have any ready but it's worth the wait. Check out the chicken sandwich!

A pound of chicken livers, a buttery biscuit, hot sauce. . .all for about $7. To die for!! And that's why I only allow myself this guilty pleasure about once every two years.

I love Go-Chicken-Go and I have patronized all of them in the Kansas City, Kansas area. The livers and gizzards are my favorite and my second favorite is the wing pack. Great place to stop for a big iced tea too. A little slow through the drive-thru sometimes but always polite.

What can I say but give me a 1/2 order of gizzards and a wing pack with 2 extra rolls. Mash taters with delicious nuclear gravy. I do love gizzards but the chicken wings are at the top of my list for chicken.

How to review Go-Chicken-Go and the fondness this place has in my heart? When I was little my dad worked at this crappy bank in a crappy part of KCK. The bank got robbed every other week and he would occasionally bring me home souvenirs from the bank with bullet holes in them and I would proudly display them in my room. Go-Chicken-Go was right across from this bank and you can imagine the ambiance and clientele that such a place attracted. But once a month, when my dad had to work Saturday's, he would bring home a bucket of Go-Chicken-Go fried chicken, a box of gizzards, and some biscuits. So there I was, a tiny little guy in the suburbs of Kansas City, eating a box of gizzards and some fried chicken like I was the King of the Titanic. It was so delicious and whenever I return to KC this is one of the places that I must go. A few other Go-Chicken-Gos have popped up around the city in the years since I left, but this one is the original and I can swear to you that the extra years of grease accumulation from the fryers are worth the visit to this location. There's a good chance that you'll have to wait in an outdoor line to get your chicken, and there's a good chance you'll be surrounded by "cultured" individuals while waiting in line. You may feel threatened by the clientele and you may receive apathetic, if not hostile service, but I urge you to cast away your shackles of cultural oppression and indulge in this KCK delight. The fried chicken is magnificent as are the mashed potatoes and the biscuits. Be sure to order an extra side of biscuits because the freebie or two that you get will not suffice. But no matter what you do you absolutely must get a box of fried gizzards with gravy and/or hot sauce as there is nothing else quite like this chewy, fried delight anywhere in the known universe.
